This is a fun all-rounder; drama, romance, comedy, crime. It’s an unlikely true story about Jeffrey Manchester aka The Rooftop Robber, who was known for breaking in through the roof of McDonalds, waiting for the staff to arrive in the morning, and taking the cash. Long story short, he was caught, promptly escaped, then instead of fleeing the county he found himself hiding in a storage area in a Toys’R’Us, where he secretly lived for months. During this time, he develops a relationship with Kirsten Dunst’s character, a single mother of two, and becomes close with her family, pretending to be someone he’s not, all while authorities are still looking for him. Amazingly, every ridiculous beat in the film really happened! There wasn’t any need for creative license. At the heart of it is the romantic relationship, which we’ll be focussing on in our campaign, as we know that’s a proven genre. New artwork will be arriving soon with both Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst on it. It has a fantastic supporting cast too with Peter Dinklage, Lakeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, and Ben Mendelsohn.
